Profile
Dr. Sudipta Roy was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. After finishing her B.Sc. in Chemistry (Hons.) from University of Calcutta and M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Bangalore University, she joined the research group of Prof. Dr. Oliver Reiser with DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) Doctoral Fellowship at the Institut für Organische Chemie, Universität Regensburg, Germany. She obtained her Ph.D in December, 2012 on “Development of novel methodologies for the syntheses of biologically relevant nitrogen-heterocycles”. Afterwards, she moved to the Institut für Organische und Biomolekulare Chemie, Georg-August- Universität Göttingen, Germany as a Postdoctoral Fellow where she worked with Prof. Dr. Lutz Ackermann in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Herbert W. Roesky. Then she moved to the Institut für Anorganische Chemie, Georg-August- Universität Göttingen to work with Prof. Dr. Herbert W. Roesky. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER)-Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. Till now she has authored over 15 peer reviewed research articles in international journals.
